I just finished building a 20×24″ vacuum easel and wanted to share how I did it, in case it’s of any use to others. I was able to complete the project on a budget of $150, which is less than I’ve seen any 20×24 vacuum easel sell for, except for a few lucky eBay deals.

My friend John Wimberley shared the details of an elegant and lightweight compendium that he uses on his Sinar Norma, and I decided to duplicate it for my camera. This new shade is a Linhof Technikardan compendium that is adapted for use on the Sinar Norma.
